Ghazal, a poem (usually written in Urdu) comprised of couplets and sung in a semi-classical fashion, captured Ahmad’s heart the first time he ever heard it. He picked up the genre in a hurry and never looked back. Over the years Ahmad wrote, composed music for, performed and recorded this extraordinarily rich and deep art form.
